Wow The Naga Temple

My wonderful companion had the idea for this picture while we were walking through the streets of cologne. Suddenly he stopped and pointed to a poster advertising for a exhibition about the ancient Egypt that was about to take place in one of Cologne’s museum. He told me to draw ancient World of Warcraft hiroglyphs.

And so I did it.

About this scene: This ancient wall was found in an underwater temple in the depths of the ocean. Competent nightelf archaeologists suspect that is a part of the modified temple of Azshara – the once beautiful and beloved elven queen who got sucked into the ocean with her servants and mutated with them to the first embittered Naga-generation.

The archaeologists don’t understand the signs of this wall – especially the beheaded shell-head-woman is a deep misery to them.

What they can see in it, though, is the Naga’s dominion over the Murlocs who serve them visibly unconcerned.
